Background :
Thrombin is the active enzyme that splits fibrinogen into fibrin during the final stage of blood coagulation. It is generated from its circulating inactive precursor, prothrombin, by the action of factor Xa aided by factor Va, phospholipid and calcium ions. Thrombin is a glycoprotein formed by a 6kDa alpha chain, linked by a disulfide bridge to a 31kDa beta chain which carries the serine protease catalytic site.

Coagulation factor II receptor-like 1
Immunogen :
Human thrombin from activated plasma.
