Product Description :
C-Terminal mutant of mature SUMO-1 protein for use in proteomic investigations. The use of this mutant SUMO-1 for the modification of target proteins, with recovery of resulting SUMO conjugates using the GST-tag, followed by tryptic digestion gives rise to peptides with a SUMO specific side chain signature not readily obtainable using wild-type SUMO modification. This modification allows ready differentiation by mass spectrometric analysis of SUMO modifications from those derived from ubiquitin and other Ubls.
