Background :
The extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), previously known as MAP (mitogen-activated protein) kinases, are members of a family of proline-directed serine/threonine kinases that are activated by dual phosphorylation of conserved threonine and tyrosine residues within a characteristic Thr-X-Tyr peptide motif. ERK1 (p44) and ERK2 (p42) acquire full enzymatic activity upon phosphorylation of both threonine and tyrosine residues with the motif Thr-Glu-Tyr.

MAPK2/3, MAP kinase 2/3
Immunogen :
Synthetic peptide containing the motif pThr-Glu-pTyr.
Specificity :
Recognizes the pThr-Glu-pTyr motif of activated mammalian ERK1/2.
