Product Description :
Dual inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase (IC50=8µM) and cyclooxygenase (COX) (IC50=52µM). Also inhibits glutathione S-transferase, induction of nitric oxide (NO) in activated macrophages and inhibits EGF-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of EGF receptors. Antioxidant. Inhibitor of NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), disrupting the binding of NQO1 to wild type p53 inducing ubiquitin-independent degradation of p53 and inhibits p53-mediated apoptosis in normal thymocytes and myeloid leukemic cells. Has been shown to inhibit NF-κB, possibly through inhibition of JNK (IC50=10µM), the COP9 signalosome kinase (IC50=10µM) and p300/CBP.
