Originally isolated from Euphorbia lagascae. Selective protein tyrosine kinase Syk inhibitor (IC50~10 µM). In RBL-2H3 cells the selective inhibition of Syk by piceatannol results in inhibition of FcεR1-mediated signaling. Activator of human deacetylase SIRT1.
