Background :
Epitope tagging is a widely accepted technique that fuses an epitope peptide to a certain protein as a marker for gene expression. With this technique, gene expression can be easily monitored on Western blotting, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence utilizing an antibody that recognizes such an epitope. The Myc-Tag (EQKLISEEDL) corresponds to the partial peptide sequence of the human c-myc gene product.
Immunogen :
6myc-tag GST fusion protein.
Specificity :
Recognizes the Myc-tag of Myc-tagged recombinant proteins.
Buffer :
Liquid. In PBS, pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol. No preservative has been added.
