Product Description :
Anti-ATP7B, clone EPR6794, Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody
Cross Reactivity :
Human
Background :
Copper-transporting ATPase 2, also known as Copper pump 2 or Wilson disease-associated protein, and encoded by the gene name ATP7B or PWD or WC1 or WND, is a member of the P-type cation transport ATPase family and has several membrane-spanning domains, an ATPase consensus sequence, a hinge domain, a phosphorylation site, and at least 2 putative copper-binding sites. It functions as a monomer, exporting copper out of the cells, such as the efflux of hepatic copper into the bile. ATP7B is abundantly expressed in liver and kidney and also found in brain. Isoform 2 is expressed in brain but not in liver. The cleaved form WND/140 kDa is found in liver cell lines and other tissues. Mutations in ATP7B have been associated with Wilson disease (WD).
ALT Names :
Copper-transporting ATPase 2, Copper pump 2, Wilson disease-associated protein
Immunogen :
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human ATP7B.
Package Size :
100 µL
Uses :
Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry
Storage :
Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
