Adapter molecule crk (CRK) is also known as Proto-oncogene c-Crk and p38. CRK is involved in the phagocytosis of apoptotic cells, cell motility and may also regulate EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling. Crk-I and Crk-II forms differ in biological functions; Crk-II mediates MAPK8 activation, membrane ruffling and cell motility, but has less transforming activity than Crk-I.
