Specificity :

5A12.2 recognizes human P-glycoprotein encoded by the MDR1 (ABCB1) gene, a member of the ABC superfamily of ATP-binding cassette transporters. Expression of P-glycoprotein is associated with ATP-dependent transmembrane efflux of chemically diverse compounds from the cell and is the major component of multidrug resistance in human tumors.
