Toll-like receptors are cell surface receptors that serve as innate immune responsese to a variety of microbial ligands.

Specificity :

Recognizes human TLR2 (Toll-like receptor 2). The 11G7 antibody inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines, which are produced upon TLR2 stiulation with a select set of TLR2 ligands. These include the TLR2/TLR1 ligands aralipoarabinomannan and Pam3CSK4. In contrast, this antibody does not inhbit the production of cytokines upon stimulation with zymosan, a TLR2/TLR6 ligand. Thus, 11G7 is a selective inhibitor of TLR2 activation (1).
