Specificity :

The combination of CD51 with CD61 produces the RGD-dependent vitronectin receptor. This complex (alphaVbeta3) is widely distributed on monocytes/macrophages, endothelial, platelets, most cells and tumour cells. As well as binding victronectin the complex also binds fibrinogen, VWF, thrombospondin, collagen, fibronectin and osteopontin. This antibody recognizes specifically this alphaVbeta3 complex. Antibody is known to react with human and rabbit AvB3.
