TNF-activated human umbilical vein endothelial cells.

Specificity :

The antibody is specific to human antigen E-selectin (ELAM-1, 115 kDa) and P-selectin that are expressed on activated endothelial cells. The ligand is expressed on neutrophils and may function as an early part in neutrophil binding to the endothelium. The antibody inhibits neutrophil adhesion to E-selectin and P-selectin when used as F(ab')2 fragments. Although previously thought to recognize only human CD62E, recent data (Goda et al., 1999) shows that this antibody also recognizes human CD62P binding to a common epitope on these members of the selectin family.
