Specificity :

The antibody recognises a monomorphic determinant of the rat leucocyte common antigen (LCA, CD45). The antigen recognised is a heavily glycosylated membrane gylcoprotein of M.W. 170kD on thymocytes but M.W. 170- 220kD on other leucocytes (2,3). It is a useful marker for leucocytes as it has not been detected on any other cell type. FUSION PARTNER: Spleen cells from BALB/c mice were fused with the cells of the NS1 mouse myeloma cell line.
