Background :

Bromodomain PHD-finger Transcription Factor (BPTF) is ubiquitously expressed ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling factor. It is the largest component of the nucleosome remodeling factor (NURF) complex which facilitates nucleosome sliding and transcription. BPTF interacts, via its PHD domain, with trimethyl lysine 4 on histone H3, and induces chromatin remodeling. It is expressed in relatively high levels in Alzheimer’s disease.
