Product Description :
Anti-Beta III Tubulin Antibody
Cross Reactivity :
Human;Mouse;Rat
Background :
Tubulins, major components of the cellular cytoskeleton, form microtubules that are critical for cellular structure, migration, cell division, and intracellular trafficking. There are at least three types of tubulins: alpha, beta, and gamma. Each has a molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. Microtubules are large structures (300 angstrom diameter) composed of alternating alpha and beta subunits. Compounds that block microtuble formation, such as Taxol and the vinca alkaloids, inhibit cell division and are effective anti-cancer agents. Class III β-tubulin‎ is a microtubule element expressed exclusively in neurons, and is a popular marker specific for neurons in tissue.
Immunogen :
Synthetic peptides from human/rat Beta III Tubulin.
Specificity :
Recognizes Beta III Tubulin
Package Size :
500 µL
Uses :
Immunocytochemistry;Immunohistochemistry;Western Blotting
Storage :
Stable for 6 months at 2-8°C in undiluted aliquots from date of receipt. It is recommended that the antibody be stored in the dark. During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 µL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap.
