Fusion protein of MBP with a.a. 928-1035 of rat kidney Na+/HCO3 Cotransporter (rkNBC; Romero et al., Nature 387:409-413, 1997).

Specificity :

Recognizes the Na+/HCO3 Cotransporter (NBC) within the C-terminus a.a. 928-1035. Reacts with kidney, brain, pancreas, stomach and intestine. This antigenic sequence is not present in some NBC isoforms, e.g. in the rat aorta form of NBC. In Western blot the antibody recognizes a major band of approximately 130 kDa in rat and rabbit and a major band of approximately 160 kDa in salamander kidney.
