Anti-P-Glycoprotein Mouse mAb (C494)
Cross Reactivity :
Hamster, Human
Background :
P-glycoprotein is typically expressed in cells with secretory and excretory functions. Its highest expression is in kidney (proximal tubules), liver (bile canaliculi), adrenal gland and intestine, suggesting that the primary role of P-glycoprotein is in the normal secretion of physiological metabolites and ingested chemicals into bile, urine and the lumen of the intestinal tract. Elevated levels of P-glycoprotein have also been reported in multidrugresistant cell lines and in various tumors, sarcomas, and lymphomas.

Immunogen :
SDS-solubilized plasma membranes of a multidrug resistant (MDR) Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line and a human leukemic cell line
Specificity :
Recognizes the ~170 kDa MDR1 isoform of P-glycoprotein.
Package Size :
500 uL
Uses :
FC, IH, WB, IC, IP, IH(P)
Storage :
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
