Anti-PGC-1, C-Terminal (777-797) Rabbit pAb

Human, Mouse
Background :
PGC-1 (PPARɣ-coactivator-1) is a coactivator that promotes transcription through the formation of a complex that includes steroid receptor coactivator-1 (SRC-1) and CREB binding protein (CBP)/p300. The binding of PGC-1 to the hinge domain of PPAR (peroxisome proliferator activated receptor) stimulates a conformational change in PGC-1 that permits binding of SRC-1 and CBP/p300, resulting in a large increase in transcriptional activity. Murine PGC-1 has been also reported to enhance the expression of uncoupling protein-1.
ALT Names :
A830037N07RIK, LEM6, PGC-1, PGC-1(alpha), Pgc-1alpha-a, PGC-1v, PGC1 ALPHA, PGC1A, PGCO1, PPARGC-1 alpha, PPARGC1, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, coactivator 1 alpha
Immunogen :
a synthetic peptide [(C)SKYDSLDFDSLLKEAQRSLRR] corresponding to amino acids 777-797 of the human PPARɣ Coactivator 1 protein
Specificity :
Recognize the ~92-105 kDa (apparent MW) PGC-1 protein.
Package Size :
100 uL
Uses :
ELISA, WB, IH
Storage :
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-70°C). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
