Background :

TGF (Transforming Growth Factor) beta is a multifunctional peptide that controls proliferation, differentiation, and other functions in many cell types. TGF-beta acts synergistically with TGF-alpha in inducing transformation. It also acts as a negative autocrine growth factor. Dysregulation of TGF-beta activation and signaling may result in apoptosis. Many cells synthesize TGF-beta and almost all of them have specific receptors for this peptide. TGF-beta1, TGF-beta2 and TGF-beta3 all function through the same receptor signaling systems.

Storage :

Stable for 1 year at -20°C in undiluted aliquots from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
