Product Description :
Anti-Catenin δ-1 (p120 Catenin) Antibody, cloneYE372, rabbit monoclonal
Cross Reactivity :
Human
Background :
Catenins are proteins associated with complexes that contain cadherin cell adhesion molecules. Delta-1-catenin is a member of the p120 Catenin subfamily and is a structural protein involved in neuronal development. It interacts with Actin, Cortactin and Src Kinases to promote neurite elongation or branching, depending upon its phosphorylation state. Like beta-catenin and gamma-catenin, delta-catenins appear to interact with presenilins. These catenin-presenilin interactions can impact cadherin function and regulation of cell-to-cell adhesion. While beta-catenin acts as a transcription regulatory protein in the Wnt/TCF pathway, delta-catenin has been implicated as a regulator of the NF-kB transcription factor.
ALT Names :
Cadherin-associated Src substrate;catenin (cadherin-associated protein), delta 1;catenin, delta 1;p120 catenin
Immunogen :
Synthetic peptide directed against the N-terminus of human Catenin δ-1.
Specificity :
This antibody recognizes Catenin 1 (p120 Catenin) at the N-terminus.

100 μL
Uses :
Flow Cytometry;Immunocytochemistry;Immunohistochemistry;Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin);Immunoprecipitation;Western Blotting
Storage :
Stable for 1 year at -20ºC from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
