The antibody works poorly in detecting UNC-10 on immunoblots [PMID: 20405020]. Specific to UNC-10 except that some faint staining was observed in the pharynx of unc-10 mutant [md1117]. By immunofluorescence microscopy on whole mount C. elegans fixed with methanol/acetone, staining was restricted to discrete puncta (active zones) in synapse-rich regions of the nervous system including the nerve ring, the ventral nerve cord and the dorsal nerve cord.
