SCAR: suppressor of cAR. SCAr is a Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome family protein. SCAR is an actin nucleating factor that functions in lamellipodia formation. SCAR has been used as a marker for lamellipodia. SCAR is the main activator of Arp2/3 in fly embryos.
