Recombinant Human IL-1F6 produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 158 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17.7 kDa.Human interleukin family 1, member 6 (hIL-1F6 / FIL1-epsilon) is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL-1F6 is expressed in immune system and fetal brain, but not in other tissues tested or in multiple hematopoietic cell lines.IL-1F6 is the only IL-1 family member found to be expressed on T-cells. IL-1F6 is reported to function via receptor complex of IL-1Rrp2 and IL-1RAcP. Recombinant IL-1F6, along with IL-1F8 and IL-1F9, has been shown to act as an agonist by activating the pathway involving NFκB and MAPK in an IL-1Rrp2 dependent manner.

Storage :
Lyophilized rHuIL-1F5 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 C. Upon reconstitution rHuIL-1F6 should be stored at 4 C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
