It is the primary cellular initiator of coagulation cascade, and functions as receptor and cofactor for coagulation Factor VII and VIIa.From the rabbit gene using a T-7 cell expression system; purified predominantly to a 45 kD protein, comprising the extracellular and transmembrane domains of the native molecule, plus an amino terminal leader peptide sequence required for processing and purification.
