Recombinant Human TNFRSF13B along with FC tag is expressed inHEK 293cells. The molecular weight of the recombinant mouse Tnfsf4 is 45.2 kDa. In SDS-PAGE, the recombinant TACI/Fc preparation showed an approximately 51 kDa band and an approximately 40 kDa doublet. The presence of multiple bands in the preparation is likely the result of heterogenous glycosylation.

TACI also serves as a receptor for B-cell activating factor of the TNF family (BAFF) and as a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL).
