Notes :

WB: The detection limit for Unrip is approximately 0.1ng/lane under reducing conditions. Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

Immunogen :

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human Unrip(78-104aa AADFTAKVWDAVSGDELMTLAHKHIVK), identical to the related mouse and rat sequences.

Contents :

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.

Purification :

Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution :

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Storage :

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Relevant detection systems :

Boster provides a series of assays reacted with primary antibodies. Antibody can be supported by chemiluminescence kit EK1002 in WB, supported by SA1022 in IHC(P).

Background :

Unrip is also known as STRAP(Serine-threonine kinase receptor-associated protein). It is anenzyme that in humans is encoded by the STRAP gene. It is mapped to 12p12.3. UNRIP is integrated into a complex with UNR or with the SMN complex in vivo in a mutually exclusive manner. It is concluded that UNRIP is the first component of the uridine-rich snRNP assembly machinery that associates with the SMN complex in a compartment-specific way, and it may play a crucial role in the intracellular distribution of the SMN complex.
