Immunogen :

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human SLC15A2 (412-441aa QEVFLQVLNLADDEVKVTVVGNENNSLLIE), different from the related mouse sequence by eight amino acids, and from the related rat sequence by seven amino acids.

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.

Purification :

Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution :

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Storage :

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Background :

The mammalian kidney expresses a proton-coupled peptide transporter that is responsible for the absorption of small peptides, as well as beta-lactam antibiotics and other peptide-like drugs, from the tubular filtrate. This transporter, SLC15A2, belongs to the same gene family as SLC15A1, the proton-coupled peptide transporter found in the small intestine.
