Notes :

WB: The detection limit for Jagged 2 is approximately 0.25ng/lane under reducing conditions. Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

Immunogen :

E.coli-derived human Jagged 2 recombinant protein (Position: R962-E1238). Human Jagged 2 shares 85% and 79% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat Jagged 2, respectively.

Contents :

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.

Purification :

Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution :

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Storage :

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Background :

Protein jagged-2, also known as SER2, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the JAG2 gene. It is mapped to 14q32.33. The protein encoded by this gene is one of several ligands that activate Notch and related receptors. Notch ligands Delta1 and JAG2 are subject to presenilin-dependent, intramembranous gamma-secretase processing, resulting in the production of soluble intracellular derivatives. JAG2 can promote the growth and dissemination of uveal melanoma cells.
