Immunogen :

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human TNFAIP8L3(273-292aa RPNLKRICEGINKLLDEKVL), different from the related mouse and rat sequences by two amino acids.

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.

Reconstitution :

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

Storage :

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Background :

TNFAIP8L3 belongs to the TNFAIP8 family. It acts as a negative mediator of apoptosis and may play a role in tumor progression. This gene suppresses the TNF-mediated apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-8 activity but not the processing of procaspase-8, subsequently resulting in inhibition of BID cleavage and caspase-3 activation.
