WB: The detection limit for MAPK8 is approximately 0.5ng/lane under reducing conditions. Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Predicted Species: Species predicted to be fit for the product based on sequence similarities. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human JNK1(1-15aa MSRSKRDNNFYSVEI), identical to the related rat and mouse sequences.

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.

Immunogen affinity purified.

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

MAPK8(Mitogen-activated protein kinase 8), also known as JNK1, PRKM8, and SAPK1, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MAPK8 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the MAP kinase and JNK family. The International Radiation Hybrid Mapping Consortium mapped the MAPK8 gene to chromosome 10. MAP kinases act as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals, and are involved in a wide variety of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. This kinase is activated by various cell stimuli, and targets specific transcription factors, and thus mediates immediate-early gene expression in response to cell stimuli. This kinase is also involved in UV radiation-induced apoptosis, which is though to be related to the cytochrome c-mediated cell death pathway.
