WB: The detection limit for IBSP is approximately 2.5ng/lane under reducing conditions. Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Predicted Species: Species predicted to be fit for the product based on sequence similarities. By Heat: Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH6.0, for 20mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse Bone Sialoprotein(305-324aa SYYKGHGYEGYEGQNYYYHQ), different from the related rat sequence by one amino acid.

Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.

Immunogen affinity purified.

Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Boster provides a series of assays reacted with primary antibodies. Antibody can be supported by chemiluminescence kit EK1002 in WB, supported by SA1022 in IHC(P).

IBSP(integrin-binding sialoprotein) is also known as BSP. The protein encoded by this gene is a major structural protein of the bone matrix. Bone sialoprotein is an acidic glycoprotein of approximately 70 kD that undergoes extensive posttranslational modifications. It constitutes approximately 12% of the noncollagenous proteins in human bone and is synthesized by skeletal-associated cell types, including hypertrophic chondrocytes, osteoblasts, osteocytes, and osteoclasts. The only extraskeletal site of its synthesis is the trophoblast. This protein binds to calcium and hydroxyapatite via its acidic amino acid clusters, and mediates cell attachment through an RGD sequence that recognizes the vitronectin receptor. The BSP gene is mapped to 4q22.1.
