At 0.5-1μg/ml to detect collagen type IV in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues.

Immunohistochemistry(Frozen Section) :

At 0.5-1μg/ml to detect collagen type IV in formalin or acetone fixed tissues.

Notes :

Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.

Contents :

Mouse ascites fluid, 1.2% sodium acetate, 2mg BSA, with 0.01mg NaN3 as preservative.

Reconstitution :

1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100ug/ml.

Storage :

At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Relevant detection systems :

Boster provides a series of assays reacted with primary antibodies. Antibody can be supported by SA1021 in IHC(P) and IHC(F).

Background :

Collagen IV is comprised of a third chain(alpha-3) together with the 2 classical ones, alpha-1 and alpha-2. COL4A3 gene is localized to 2q36-q37 by analysis of somatic cell hybrids and by in situ hybridization. The alpha-3 chain of type IV collagen induces autoimmune Goodpasture syndrome. Mutations in the COL4A4 and COL4A3 genes cause familial benign hematuria.
