Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: ELISA 1,2 , immunoprecipitation 1 and Western blot 1,2 from cell lysates, immunohistochemical staining 1, 3 of frozen and paraffin embedded tissue sections and in whole-mount mouse embryos, in vivo blocking 1, 5 of VEGF-C binding to inhibit angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, growth and metastasis of different tumor cells, in vitro blocking 4 of VEGF-C binding to induce dispersion of endothelial cell clusters. This clone detect multiple bands by western blot: a about 140 kD band corresponding to cleaved/soluble VEGFR-3, and 220 and 230 kD bands corresponding to unglycosylated and glycosylated full length VEGFR-3 (Bando, et al . 2004. Int J Canc . 111:184.)
