Product Description :

The human SDF1 (stromal cell-derived factor-1), also known as CXCL12 is a small cytokine that belonging to the chemokine family. CXCL12 is located on human chromosome 10. CXCL12 was shown to be expressend in many tissues including heart, liver, brain, kidney, skeletal muscle, and lymphoid organs, and is highly conserved between species. The receptor of CXCL12 is CXCR4. This CXCL12-CXCR4 interaction used to be considered exclusive (unlike for other chemokines and their receptors), but recently it has been suggested that CXCL12 is also bound by CXCR7 receptor. CXCL12 is assumed to influence lymphopoiesis, regulate patterning and cell number of neural progenitors, and promote tumor growth and malignancy, enhance tumor angiogenesis, participates in tumor metastasis,. CXCL12 also enhances the survival of myeloid progenitor cells.
