Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme), Grade 2 Antigen. Microorganisms are harvested from growth medium and washed in PBS using low speed centrifugation. The pellet is resuspended in PBS and gently sonicated. We are aware of no specific hazards associated with this product. The reagent has been inactivated and should contain no infectious material. Generally accepted good laboratory practices appropriate to biological reagents should be employed when handling this product.

Application Summary :
Antigen in ELISA. Sonication immediately prior to use is recommended, to ensure that the preparation is uniform. Grade 2 antigen is widely used for both IgG and IgM detection is assays which include EIA with polystyrene and latex solid phases.
