Immunogen :
Human epidermal keratin
Specificity :
Lu5 reacts with cytokeratins 1 - 19 and reacts with an epitope common to all cytokeratins present in all types of epithelia. The antibody reacts with epithelial and mesothelial cells, except secretory cells. A weak reaction is observed with acinus cells. Lu5 does not react with connective tissue, blood or lymphatic vessels, smooth or skeletal muscle.
