Amino acid G8 is missing, BLAST shows different number of Qs in sequence. Please note that this construct was tested by the depositing lab. Dr Miller transformed yeast strain W303a with Addgene's plasmid and with his stock of the same plasmid. He also streaked out yeast that were previously transformed with this plasmid and validated for signaling of the lacZ reporter gene in response to testosterone. The plasmids transformed well and conferred reporter gene signaling in the transformants when exposed to 25 nM testosterone. This bioassay indicates that the human androgen receptor DNA sequence produces a functional protein.
