The CDK4 ORF was generated by PCR using the expressed sequence tag W77860 as a template and the primers 5'-GCGGATCCGC GGCCGCCTTC CACCATGGCT ACCTCTCGAT CTGAGC-3' and 5'-CGGTCGACTC ACTCCGGATT ACCTTCATC-3'. The resulting product was digested with the enzymes NotI and SalI and inserted into the respective sites of the vector G1BgSVNA (a retroviral vector encoding a hygromycin resistance gene and beta-galactosidase).
