pBS537 carries a GFPcre fusion gene under the control of a synthetic promoter that can be regulated by a synthetic tet repressor/activator protein. In the presence of doxycycline expression is dramatically turned on to high levels. The GFP moiety carries the S65T mutation for enhanced fluorescence, but is not codon-optimized for mammalian expression.
