Background :

ATF-2 (activating transcription factor 2) transcription factor is a member of the leucine-zipper family of proteins and was previously known as cAMP responsive element binding protein 2 (or CREB2). ATF 2 is a transcriptional activator that binds the cAMP-responsive element (CRE) and interacts with c-Jun to stimulate CRE transcription. This protein is also capable of acetylating Histone H2B and Histone H4 in vitro as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT).

Immunogen :

This ATF-2 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 13-27 of human ATF-2.
