TLR6 M-bM-^@M-^S Toll-Like receptor 6 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family that plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize specific molecular features associated with pathogens, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. Many of the TLRs heterodimerize with each other to modulate receptor function. TLR6 forms a heterodimer with TLR2. TLR6 is thought to specify the sensitivity of TLR2 and contribute to its signaling capabilities through heterodimerization.

Immunogen :

This antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 408-424 of human TLR6.
