Background :

c-Myc (or cMyc) is a transcription factor that regulates gene expression. Myc family members contain a basic Helix-Loop-Helix leucine zipper domain. Mutations and overexpression of c-Myc are associated with cell proliferation and cancer.

Immunogen :

This c-Myc antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 408-420 of human c-Myc; it recognizes a 61 kDa form of c-Myc.
