Background :

EGFR M-bM-^@M-^S Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor is a member of the superfamily of transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases and is widely expressed. Upon ligand binding, EGFR dimerizes, autophosphorylates and becomes active. Many signaling pathways are initiated through the EGFR and related ligands. Phosphorylation of Tyr 992 results in the binding and activation of Phospholipase-C gamma (PLC-gamma).

Immunogen :

This antibody was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the amino acid residues region that contains Tyr992 of human Phosphorylated-EGFR.
