Do not use alpha-2-Macroglobulin in presence of DTT, even at 1 mM DTT causes reversible dissociation into inactive subunits. It is sensitive to acidic pH and denatured below pH 4.0. Ammonia methylamine and hydroxylamine (above pH 7.0) cause irreversible conversion to the inactive form.
